Modernism routes in Vallès Oriental (Raspall Route) are a proposal to discover the architecture of summer resorts, from houses surrounded by gardens to civil architecture such as parks, fountains and town-planning designs. A proposal of itineraries which focuses on the work of Vallesan architect Manuel Joaquim Raspall i Mayol (1877 - 1937), who worked as a public and private architect in l'Ametlla, Cardedeu, Figaró-Montmany, la Garriga and Granollers. Nowadays, these towns have the most interesting set of works by Raspall. Raspall route enables you to visit, in different modalities, M. J. Raspall’s works and to discover the social phenomenon of holiday resorts, which characterised Vallès Oriental at the beginning of the twentieth century. Among the places to visit, the most interesting ones in l'Ametlla del Vallès are Casa Millet, El Cafè and the town hall; in Figaró–Montmany: the old Congost Hotel, the city hall or Can Gallart; in la Garriga: Casa Barbey, Casa Mayol (Can Raspall) and the magnificent Raspall block, which has been declared National Cultural Heritage; in Cardedeu: l'Alqueria Cloelia, Casa Rovellat, Casa Viader, els Pinetons and the municipal cemetery; and in Granollers, Casa Clapés and Sala Tarafa.
