Carquinyolis: carquinyolis have been elaborated in Caldes de Montbui for over a century, according to some documents this sweet dates back more than 140 years. Carquinyolis are basically made with eggs, milk, sugar, flour and almonds, but every pastry cook adds his or her own special touch. The dough is rolled into a long thin bar and then cut into small pieces. You can have this sweet alone or together with milk, coffee, hot chocolate, sweet wine or Ratafia (typical Catalan drink).

Borregos: This famous sweet is made with flour, sugar, butter, green anise and anise. It is over two hundred years of history old and it has a very peculiar name (sheep). In the confectionaries of Cardedeu you will always find some of these sweets ready to take away. Also, some changes have been introduced in the traditional recipe to create interesting varieties -in addition to the crunchy original Borregos, you can taste soft ones, and at Christmas time: nougat Borregos, a surprising and exquisite mixture of this traditional sweet with nougat.

Pedres del Montseny and Garrics de la Garriga: two caprices made with chocolate and dry fruits, one with hazelnuts, and the other one with sliced almonds, which can be found in the confectionaries near Montseny and in la Garriga, respectively. In the town that hosts the Furniture Fair, those who have a sweet tooth can taste Fustetes from la Garriga, sweets shaped like laths and decorated with little beans made of pure chocolate.

Codinets: Mild and soft, these typical cookies from Sant Feliu are named after the red rock that characterises the buildings of this town. This sweet is made with pine kernels picked from the numerous pine trees that are around the town.
