Cultural heritage

Throughout the county there is artistic, historical and archaeological evidence that is part of the Vallesan cultural heritage. Human occupation in the county goes a long way back. Nowadays, remains from different periods can still be observed. Some of them are the Dolmen at Pedra Gentil and the Dolmen at Pedra de l'Arca, which show a Neolithic past; the remains at Turó del Vent or the ones at Puig del Castell, which show footprints from Iberian tribes who lived there; and some farmhouses such as Can Pradell de la Serra, Can Bosch and Ca l'Oller de Fuirosos, which transmit the essence of agriculture life that has been disappearing little by little in the last fifty years.

ICE WELL
The ice or snow wells that we find walking along the Vallès Oriental, tell us a part of the history of the county. These constructions were guarding the ice or the snow of the mountains, to provide water to the cities.
The physical conditions and the geographical situation of the county, pretty few kilometer of Barcelona, favored the economic and social activity. It was one of the new income sources for many families of the rural area.
In the county we can find more than hundred ice or snow well.
